Skin Care Daily Routine

Being part of the Beauty Industry for the past 14 years, I have received  many questions over the years about what my personal routine is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share what I find works for me as far as a Skin Routine.

I believe there are 5 key basic steps.

1. Cleanse - This first step is crucial. I cleanse my face twice a day. Morning is quick just to freshen up (because I go to bed with a clean face). But at night time, I make sure I cleanse well! I do wear make up and I want to ensure that all the product I have on my face is gently but effectively removed. You want to stay clear of products that foam, they usually contain SLS and can either irritate your face because of the sulfates used in them.

          • I use Seacret's Deep Cleansing Facial Wash  (alternating with)
          • Seacret's Mud Soap
      2. Tone - I have found over the years that this is one that I was partial to "skip". I suppose that I can blame it on not understanding the true purpose of a toner. Now I find it crucial to fit into my daily routine. Not only does it provide that last bit of cleaning, but it also closes my pores. You want to find a toner that has Allantoin (a bacteria inhibitor, moisturiser, soothing agent and anti-irritant) Chamomile ( which is known to soothe and help reduce redness) and Aloe Vera (which provides Soothing and refreshing as well as it is a Anti- inflammatory.

  • I use Seacret's Mineral Rich Refining Toner

3. Exfoliate - Did you know that it's this simple...             Dead skin = Dry skin = Wrinkles! A way to prevent that is exfoliate! Not only does it get rid of dead cells, but also leaves the skin soft and smooth!

  • I alternate between two exfoliates.  Seacret's Mineral Rich Peeling Gel (and)
  • Seacret's Purifying Peeling Milk

4. Eye Serum - The food for your skin. Applying Serum around your eyes will actually prepare your skin for maximum absorption of moisture. Serum will go to the deepest layer of the skin and strengthen the natural defence mechanisms of the skin through nourishment. It will also strengthen the skin and return its natural flexibility and firmness. We've all heard it before, you notice stages of ageing first around the eyes. This is a great way to prolong that from happening!

  • I use Seacret's REVIVE Eye Serum

5. Moisture - The last thing applied to my face is moisturiser. Applying a moisturiser will re-hydrate, nourish and protect your skin. I like a moisturiser that is light and will easily be absorbed. I apply this morning and night.

  • I use Seacret's Intensive Moisture Face Cream
